API Technologies to Showcase Variety of High Reliability Power Electronics at APEC 2013

ORLANDO, FL  — March 6, 2013 — API Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:ATNY) (“API” or the “Company”), a trusted provider of RF/microwave, microelectronics, and security solutions for critical and high-reliability applications, announced today that it will showcase its diverse range of products suitable for higher power applications during the 2013 Annual Applied Power Electronics Conference & Expo (APEC). Discussions and live demonstrations will take place at the API Technologies Booth #907, featuring its Spectrum Control™ line of EMI power filters, film capacitors, switch mode power supply capacitors, magnetics, and the latest in current limiting NTC thermistors. API’s GaN broadband power amplifiers and power distribution products will also be on display. APEC takes place on March 17-21 in Long Beach, CA.

Chokes

API offers units for a wide variety of applications from switch mode power supply designs to heavy curreny types for 60Hz and other applications.  API produces chokes from a few micro henries to 10s of Henries and current ratings from milliamps up to 100s of amps.

API’s Chokes Include:  Hash Choke, Current Compensated Quad Choke, Common Mode Choke, Suppression Choke, Power Choke.

Transformers

API offers a wide variety of transformers to meet any need.  Our signal transformers consist of audio frequency, coupling, impedance matching, line matching, line isolating and hybrid transformers for central office or mobile equipment applications in surface mount or through hole formats.

We also have an extensive assortment of pulse transformers, also in SMD or TH formats, for a wide variety applications : T1/E1 and ISDN applications, as well as T3/E3 and xDSL.  API has been approved as a source for CEPT/CCiTT, S-Bus and U-Bus transformers and for specific interface ICs for Zarlink (Mitel).

Inductors

API is a prime contractor of precision, tunable and tapped inductors.  These inductors include Miniature Drum Core units, Input/Output differential mode filters and Common Mode filter inductors. 

API can provide customized versions of inductors where stability over a wide temperature range is of utmost importance, using specialized automatic temperature cycling equipment.

API’s Inductors Include:  Adjustable Inductors, Torodial (Input/Output Filter) Inductors, Switching Inductors, Common Mode Inductors, DC Reactors, Power Inductors, Filter Inductors, Chip Inductors, Miniature Drum Core Inductors, Multilayer Ceramic Chip Inductors, Thin Film Ceramic Chip Inductors, Wire Wound Ceramic Chip Inductor, and Coil Suppressor Assembly.
