EDS is the premier annual event for the main players in the international electronics industry. Every year, the manufacturers of electronic components, instruments and accessories, as well as distributors and manufacturer's representatives, come together to meet, make contacts and build their businesses. Suppliers of industry goods and services also are on hand to market their products.

NHi-158xx Terminal+ Series

The Terminal+ is a complete Multi-Protocol Mil-Std-1553 Data Bus Interface between a dual redundant bus and a host processor. The device functions as a programmable Bus Controller, Remote Terminal, Bus Monitor and simultaneous Monitor/Remote Terminal. It contains a protocol chip, two monolithic transceivers and 64K word SRAM and two integrated transformers.  The only external component required is a 20MHz clock.

The Terminal+ appears to the host computer as 64K words of 16 bit wide memory controlled by standard RAM signals. The device can thus be easily interfaced with all popular processors and buses. The built in interrupt controller supports an internal FIFO which retains header information for queuing up to 6 pending interrupt requests plus an overflow interrupt.

Features:
  • Internal Integrated Transformers
  • Dual Redundant +3.3 Volt Logic Operation
  • NHi Monolithic +5v or +3.v Transceivers
  • Bus Controller, Bus Monitor, Remote Terminal, Bus Monitor/Remote Terminal

  • Multi Protocol Compliant
  • Trapezoidal Output Waveform
  • External Time Tag Input
  • BC Trigger
  • Package Pins Defined in Pin Function Table
  • PCI Bus or Local Bus Interface
Benefits:
  • Ideal for spaced-constrained, high-reliability rugged applications
  • Easily interfaces with all popular processors and buses (no external logic required)
  • Open memory architecture helps speed software development time
  • Supports both MIL-STD-1553 and MIL-STD-1760 in a single low-power component

NHi- 15116 / 15130 Series Transceivers

The NHI-15116 series of MIL-STD-1553/1760 monolithic dual transceivers are available in 0.800" x .600" 24 pin flatpack package.

Each receiver converts the 1553 bus bi-phase data to complementary RX and RX_L TTL digital outputs for use by the manchester decoder. The device provides independent receiver enables for each channel.

The transmitters will output bi-phase manchester to the coupling transformer when the TX and TX_L inputs are driven by complementary TTL digital data. The device provides an independent transmitter inhibit TXINH for each channel.

To reduce the pin count and package size, the transmitter outputs are connected to the receiver inputs internal to the device for each channel. This results in only two connections BUS & BUS_L to the coupling transformer per channel.
