Frequency Multiplier Oscillators

The Frequency Multiplier Oscillator (FMO) is a compact 21 channel synthesized signal generator that provides transmit and LO signals for L-band and S-Band airborne radar systems. API’s unique design incorporates a isolation system for exceptional phase noise performance during vibration.

Digitally Tuned Oscillators

API offers a complete line of Digitally Tuned Oscillators (DTO). These custom designed assemblies consist of a select number of sub-band VCOs covering customer specific frequency ranges between 2GHz and 18GHz.

Voltage Controlled Oscillators

API Voltage Controlled Oscillators offer a wide selection of tuning ranges and output power to suit your particular application. These units feature low phase noise and rugged construction for demanding environmental applications.

SAW Oscillators

API’s SAW Oscillators utilize a low jitter planar SAW which translates to extremely low phase noise performance and exceptionally low accumulated jitter.  Our high performance SAW Oscillators range in frequencies from 100 MHz to 20 GH.

Comb Generators

API's Series 95 Comb Generators use a Step Recovery Diode (SRD) to generate very narrow voltage spikes; these in turn produce an output frequency spectrum rich in harmonics.

Dielectric/Coaxial Resonators

API's Line of Dielectric Resonator Oscillators (DROs) and Coaxial Resonator Oscillators (CROs) are designed and built with both small size and Low Phase Noise in mind. Packed full of standard features, our complete line of free running DRO designs operate from 500 MHz to 21.5 GHz.

Phase Locked Oscillators

A Phase Locked Oscillator must be compatible with other components in the system and must operate properly within complex systems. Knowing this, API engineers have reviewed power supply noise, load impedances, and other considerations to create a design that will be successful during full integration.

Synthesizers

API’s synthesizers offer wide bandwidth, multiple step size options, fast switching speed, and low phase noise combined with the cost advantages of standardized packages. Frequency control options include: Serial/parallel inputs, BCD/Binary format, or traditional thumbwheel switches.

Thin Film

API's Thin Film Technology includes a vaiety of metallization options, plated through Vias, plated through holes, polyimide bridges and dams, and TaN and NiChrome resistors to meet all your thin film needs.

Aqueous Cleaning and Sealing

API uses the Aquastorm cleaning system, providing a unique impingement pattern; cleaning even the most challenging flux residues.
