API Technologies Releases Smallest Hermetically Sealed SOIC 1553 Data Bus Transceiver

RONKONKOMA, NY — JULY 14, 2010 — API Technologies Corp. (ATNY.OB) ("API" or the "Company"), a provider of highly engineered products and services to the global defense sector, announced today the availability of the smallest hermetically sealed ceramic Dual 1553 Data Bus Transceiver. The NHi-1565 SOIC, which is also available in MacAir, is the newest addition to the National Hybrid (NHi) product line.

“These are the smallest, fully-compliant 1553 data bus transceivers in a ceramic SOIC package on the market today,” said Arnie Markowitz, Vice President and General Manager of API’s Components and Subsystems division. “Because they are hermetically sealed, they are air-tight, making them ideally suited for rugged environments.”

The NHi-1565 SOIC comes in a standard 5V or a low voltage 3.3V version. It measures .275 x .504 x .095 inches, and is available in a full military temperature range of -55C to +125C.

The Hawk i video aiming device utilizes a camera and a rangefinder to automatically place crosshairs on your monitor. While approaching a target, the crosshairs shift based on your range to the target to show operators the true point of impact for their shot. No calibration is required and no adjustments are needed by the operator to account for the range to the target. The system also displays range to target in the upper left corner of the video image.  With the Hawk i video aiming device, promotes a more accurate shot.

The Hawk i video aiming device can also be utilized in conjunction with the Cobra Sight Laser Aiming Device.

Cobra Sight Laser Aiming Device

The Cobra Sight Laser aiming device is an inventive new tactical device which utilizes true boresight technology.  With this aiming device the end of the barrel remains uncovered, making makes zeroing in much faster. Two line lasers are utilized to project a true crosshair on your target for ranges greater than 12 inches without adjustment. With the Cobra Sight Laser, a more precise shot is guaranteed.

The Cobra Sight laser aiming device can also be utilized in conjunction with the Hawk i video aiming device.

API Technologies Receives $2.3 Million in New Orders from Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems El Segundo

RONKONKOMA, NY – (PR Newswire)—May 13, 2010—API Technologies Corp. (ATNY.OB) ("API" or the "Company"), a prime contractor in engineered systems, components and secure communications to the global defense and aerospace industries, has been awarded two separate contracts from Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems, located in El Segundo California, totaling approximately $2.3 million, to supply electro-mechanical enclosures, including electronic circuit cards for mission-critical laser targeting and imaging systems. Both orders will be manufactured at the Company’s Pennsylvania facility.
