API Technologies Expands Cable Offering

More standard and custom products including high temperature

ORLANDO, Fla.– June 1, 2015 – API Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:ATNY), a leading provider of high performance RF, microwave, millimeterwave, power, and security solutions, expands its cabling capabilities with standard and custom cables ranging from -60˚C to 538˚C and from 1100MCM to #40 AWG. These cables are ideally suited for the industrial, medical, military, and transit industries.

These cables offer a wide array of QPL approved part numbers and their effective non-QPL equivalents. The standard products include RG Style, MIL-C-17(equivalents available), MIL-W-22759, MIL-W-16878, and MIL-C-27500. Designs are available from a single insulated wire or coax to more than 100 conductor designs and composite/hybrid cables.

In addition to these standard products, custom-designed coaxial and RF cables are available to meet the most demanding specifications up to 20GHz. Other custom designs include coiled and retractile cords designed for ruggedized communication and data transmission applications, low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) cables to minimize emission of smoke and eliminate toxic fumes in the event of a fire, micro and miniature cable and coax for applications where size and/or weight is an issue, and ruggedized data to allow continuous flexing while maintaining a reliable connection. The cables are EMI/RFI protected and exhibit excellent crush, cut, and abrasion strength.

Manufacturing and test facilities for these standard and custom cables are ISO 9001:2008.

API Technologies’ Electromagnetic Integrated Solutions (EIS) line offers a broad range of vertically integrated EMI/RFI solutions from standard components to complex assemblies including power filters, film capacitors, single- and multi-line filters, and filtered terminal blocks. This is in addition to the company’s broad range of standard and custom magnetic devices (transformers, inductors, chokes, and coils), as well as custom and specialty filtered connectors, cables, and harnessing products.
