Cryptek™ TEMPEST 7975 VoIP Phone Now Shipping

ORLANDO, FL — February 27, 2012 — API Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:ATNY), a provider of electronic systems, subsystems, RF, and secure systems for defense, aerospace, and commercial applications, announced today it is now shipping the Cryptek™ TEMPEST 7975 VoIP Phone. This highly secure version of the Cisco® 7975 Unified IP Phone meets NSTISSAM 1-92, Level 1 and NATO SDIP-27, Level A standards all in a slim-line, user-friendly design.

“The Cryptek TEMPEST 7975 is a sleek, touch-screen TEMPEST IP phone that looks and feels like any other office phone. This goes against the traditional view that TEMPEST phones need to be significantly more bulky than their OEM counterparts in order to prevent the interception of electromagnetic radiation,” said Rick Mahar, VP & General Manager, Secure Systems and Information Assurance (SSIA) Division, API Technologies.

With a small footprint, the Cryptek TEMPEST 7975 is only slightly larger than the OEM version. The power and fiber optic cords are engineered through the back of the chassis creating a user-friendly design. It has all the functionality of the popular Cisco phone and is certified to NSTISSAM 1-92, Level 1 and meets NATO SDIP-27, Level A standards.

“It looks great, has the latest touch-screen technology, and meets or exceeds all requisite TEMPEST requirements,” added Mahar. “Plus, even with additional user influenced feature enhancements, it costs less than competitors’ versions of the phone.  We are in full production and shipping our new TEMPEST 7975 VoIP phone.”
