New EMCON® TEMPEST Semi-Rugged Notebook to be Showcased at CANSEC 2012

ORLANDO, FL and OTTAWA — May 15, 2012 —API Technologies Corp. This 14-inch widescreen laptop with HD graphics meets the requirements of NSTISSAM 1-92, Level 1; CID09/15A, Level 1; and NATO SDIP-27, Level A.  It will be showcased at CANSEC 2012 (Booth #1505), May 30-31, 2012 at the CE Centre in Ottawa.

The EMCON TEMPEST S400 Semi-Rugged Notebook utilizes Getac’s new KryptoShell™ body which allows it to meet or exceed MIL-STD 810G criteria for temperature, shock, and vibration. It features a 14-inch, sunlight readable, wide-screen display and a spill resistant keyboard. The EMCON model is compatible with FlagStone Enchanced encrypted hard drives which are DIPCOG, CESG and FIPS validated and is Approved for Use by CSE in Canadian Government Institutions.
