Terrence Hahn

Chief Executive Officer and Board Member


As an innovator of software, services, devices, new materials, and business models, Terrence Hahn has driven step-change transformations and double-digit income growth across eight major industry verticals throughout his three-decade career, leading teams based in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

Terrence spent 19 years working with Air Products & Chemicals in several senior leadership roles in Taiwan, Malaysia, Canada, and the US. He subsequently joined Honeywell, where he served as President and CEO of Home and Building Technologies, President and CEO of Transportation Systems, and Vice President and General Manager of Performance Materials and Technologies/Fluorine Products. Terrence was most recently CEO of Axalta Coating Systems.

He earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Terrence's non-profit work supports education, women's health, STEM and the arts. He serves as the Chair of Thomas Jefferson University's President's Global Strategy Council, guiding the university's drive for transformation worldwide in innovation, academics, clinical and philanthropy.

Richard Farrington

Senior Vice President & Managing Director, RF/Microwave and Microelectronics (RF2M-UK) and Secure Systems & Information Assurance (SSIA).

Richard Farrington gained his strategic and commercial expertise in multinational organizations in the UK, Europe, and the USA. He has B2B experience in industry and commerce including manufacturing, defense, distribution, contracting, construction, electrical, and electronics.

Among Richard's achievements is the development of operational plans to justify business growth in Eastern Europe and the USA, both organically and through acquisition. As a key member of the team responsible for ensuring success, his contributions led to a tripling of sales in three years. Richard carried out due diligence on Eastern European acquisitions and reduced the US operating cost base by more than $3m per annum through resource evaluation and a review of outsourcing and maintenance contracts.

Richard has also prepared and presented the financial information which contributed to the successful sale of Buck Hickman, a £100m turnover subsidiary of Premier Farnell — and was subsequently responsible for closing out completion accounts.

Richard holds an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management, Cranfield University.

Lawrence Howanitz

Senior Vice President, Electromagnetic Integrated Solutions (EIS)

Larry Howanitz is the Senior Vice President EIS Group of APITech Technologies along with Managing Director of GMBH. He has over 35 years of service and experience in the EMI/RFI arena (Spectrum Control-API Technologies) and has successfully overseen various areas of responsibility throughout the organization.

Larry joined API Tech, formerly Spectrum Control in February of 1984 and in 2001, he was made a Senior Vice President of Global Operations. In 2005, he was named Senior Vice President EIS group with complete P&L responsibility.

Larry has participated in over 17 major acquisitions or consolidations for the organization. He was also the Operations lead for setting up low-cost manufacturing in both Mexico and China, significantly increasing margins.

Larry is a graduate of MMI Preparatory School and holds a B.S. in Business Management from Pennsylvania State University.

Craig Lindberg

Vice President & General Manager, Inmet and Weinschel

Craig Lindberg is an experienced Vice President, with a demonstrated history of working in the RF/Microwave industry. He is a strong engineering professional, skilled in Strategic Planning, Product Development, Business Development, Lean Management, and Electrical Engineering.

Craig is responsible for Inmet/Weinschel brands’ RF, Microwave components and subsystems Business Unit, with a strong commercial and defense presence in the wireless communications industry.

He is also responsible for establishing and executing the Business Unit’s long-term strategic growth and profitability plans. His experience to date includes business mergers, consolidation, off-shoring, lean transformation, and executing strategic sales channel partnerships.

Craig holds a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering University of Michigan, and an M.S.E in Fiber Optics and Communications Theory from Arizona State University.

Mark McClanahan

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Mark McClanahan drives our overall financial strategy, including APITech’s aggressive growth plans. He leads the Finance and IT functions and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT),  he reports directly to CEO, Terrence Hahn. 

Mark joined APITech with over 25 years’ experience in the finance sector. He has held senior finance roles with Dover Corporation, Ingersoll Rand, Honeywell, and most recently with Corning, he was the Finance Leader of the Optical Connectivity Solutions Division. 

Mark’s experience navigating high growth companies, developing new business strategies, and delivering meaningful results fits well with APITech’s growth philosophy. He is a business partner who ensures that economic decision-making is in place at each level of the organization. In particular, he is an active talent developer and has extensive experience building and retaining talent to maximize customer satisfaction.

Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and international/Russian studies from Miami University (Oxford, OH), and a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in finance and marketing from Case Western Reserve University

Jim Oelkers

Vice President, Supply Chain

Jim Oelkers joined APITech in February 2020 as the Vice President of Supply Chain. Jim is responsible for supply chain planning, strategic materials sourcing, quality and safety for APITech worldwide.  Before joining APITech, Jim was the VP of Global Supply Chain for Avantor and  the Group Director of Supply Chain Planning and Logistics for the Performance Materials Business at Honeywell.  Prior to joining Honeywell, Jim gained over 20 years of experience in supply chain management while with the Rohm and Haas company.  At Rohm and Haas, Jim also held positions in Operations, Marketing, Project Management, Quality, Plant Maintenance and Capital Engineering.

Jim has a BE degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology and a MBA in Operations Management from Temple University. 

Laura Reeder

Vice President, Worldwide Human Resources

Laura Reeder has been with APITech since 2014 as leader of its Human Resources organization and strategy. She brings to her role extensive experience across multiple industries, from banking and education to technology. Before joining APITech, she was the Senior Director of Human Resources, leading many Recruiting and Human Resources functions at K12, Inc. 

Laura’s expertise includes planning and executing HR activities for acquisitions, divestitures, and organizational consolidations. In addition, her responsibilities include key initiatives supporting a cultural transition, reward and recognition programs, and comprehensive benefit and compensation platforms. 

Laura holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Rochester.

Michael Ryan

Vice President and General Manager (VP/GM) of the RF microwave and microelectronics business unit (RF2M-US).

Before joining APITech, Michael Ryan was a Senior Executive with TMD Technologies. Prior to TMD, he was the President of Teledyne Technologies' Microwave Solutions Group. Michael has over 35 years of experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry. He has served as Vice President & General Manager of Aerodyne Controls, where he was the concurrent business leader of W. L. Gore & Associates' Space Flight Products division, MRI Devices division, and Microwave Fabrics division.

Michael’s customer focus enables RF2M-US to continue as a leading RF spectrum innovator, as he drives to meet our customers' needs, continuing to align the team for on-time and on-specification delivery to customers.

In addition to degrees in mathematics and history, Michael received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and has an MBA from the University of Delaware.

Michael Schwarm

Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing

Michael Schwarm leads APITech’s global Sales and Marketing team. He is responsible for customer engagement, sales effectiveness, and global brand presence. Michael brings more than 20 years' experience leading organizations in executing growth strategies, driving customer value, and delivering components, systems and solutions for defense and commercial applications, both domestic and international.

Before joining APITech in 2018, Michael led sales efforts for Cobham Advanced Electronics Solutions and Antenna Research Associates, supporting both domestic and international customers. Before that, he served in leadership roles at DRS Technologies and BAE Systems.

Michael holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, a Master's degree in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and is a veteran of the US Army.

John Tyhacz

Chief Technology Officer

Prior to joining APITech, John served for over 16 years at Honeywell International Inc. Automation & Controls Division serving as Vice President in multiple positions as General Manager North American Residential Controls, Eastern USA Sales, Global Supply Chain, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, and Business Process Improvement. Today, he supports many organizations in achieving their growth objectives through deep customer understanding as part of his consulting business, J D Tyhacz Consulting, LLC.

John holds a B.S. in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and an M.S. in Business from New York University (NYU).
