Weinschel has developed this program to meet or exceed many high reliability requirements imposed by both Government and commercial customers. Using Weinschel's extensive in-house capabilities allows our High Reliability Group to comply with most of the quality requirements of MIL-Q-9858 and MIL-I-45208. Weinschel's quality system is certified to ISO-9001 (certificate number 94-289). Improved product reliability is evolving concept which benefits both the client and Weinschel.
API Weinschel designs many of its high reliability components to meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-3933 and MIL-T-945. Also a major share of Weinschel connectors and components used in these High Reliability Products are inspected and tested using MIL-DTL-3933 as a guideline.

A Hi-Rel component always involves additional care, handling, quality control, inspection and testing. This means more time and attention is required to produce a Hi-Rel component, but it is well worth the effort for a superior product. All Hi-Rel assembly and testing are performed in a separate area by Weinschel assemblers assigned only to Hi-Rel components. However, all fabrication, routine processing and handling (unless specified otherwise by the client) are performed in the same manner as for all standard catalog equipment according to Weinschel's high standards. All Weinschel components are designed with high reliability in mind.
Most Weinschel attenuators and terminations can be supplied to customer specified environmental requirements, such as MIL-STD-202. Environmental testing can include shock, vibration, moisture resistance, humidity, salt fog, thermal shock, thermal cycle, film conditioning and burn-in. Weinschel's Hi-Rel components have almost a 100% survival rate during qualification testing. Additionally they can be provided to meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-3933 (fixed), MIL-A-24215 (variable) or MIL-D-39030 (terminations).
Hi-Rel units can be laser-marked and are manufactured from materials which have a TML of less than 1% and CVCM less than 0.1%.
